Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-07 | Version: 2
Bromoney is an online financial marketplace and a service of Money Broker LLC. We are not a lender. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using our website, you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
We collect information that helps us connect you with lenders and partners in our marketplace and keep the service secure.
- Contact details — name, email, phone number, and mailing address.
- Financial profile — loan amount requested, employment status, estimated income, and credit range.
- Identification — date of birth and partial Social Security Number, collected only when required to verify your identity.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and anonymized analytics.
How We Use Your Information
| Purpose | Legal basis | Retained for |
|---|---|---|
| Connecting you with lenders and partners | To provide the service you request | Up to 24 months |
| Fraud and identity checks | Legitimate interest | Up to 7 years |
| Analytics and site performance | Legitimate interest | Up to 14 months |
| Marketing communications | Consent (opt-in) | Until you opt out |
How We Share Your Information
Based on the information you provide, we share it with:
- The lenders and partners in our marketplace, so they can evaluate your request and present offers. Some of these partners are lead aggregators, who may share your information with their own networks of lenders and partners.
- Service providers bound by confidentiality agreements (hosting, analytics, fraud prevention).
- Regulators or courts when required by law.
Because we may be paid when we connect you with a lender or partner, this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws. You can opt out at any time — see **Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. **
Credit Checks
When you submit a loan request, the lenders and partners who review it may obtain your credit report and credit history from consumer reporting agencies — including Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), to verify your identity and evaluate your request. Because more than one lender or partner may review your request, more than one credit inquiry may appear on your credit report. See our FCRA Notice for details.
Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate data.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- File a complaint with your state Attorney General or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
California and other states. The CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) and similar laws in other states give you specific rights, including the right to know what we collect, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. Submit a request through our Do Not Sell or Share form or email [email protected].
Data Security
We use TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and limit employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. No system is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach, we will notify affected users as required by law.
