Redneck Bank is offering an online savings account with an APY of 3.1%. It’s called their mega money market account and there’s no monthly fees or minimum balances. The minimum deposit is only $1 and there’s no limit on your balance.
According to their site, there’s a $1,500 limit on bank to bank transfers but you can call customer service to have that limit raised. To make transfers your account must be open for at least 30 days and you must have their VISA check card. There’s no hard credit pull when you open an account with them.
Redneck Bank is part of a family of banks that have the same offer on savings. You can try one of the other ones if you prefer: Evantage Bank and AmericaNet Bank.
Redneck Bank has a 4 star rating out of 5 at bankrate.com and is a FDIC insured bank.
I’ve been trying to open an account at Redneck bank for the past month; every time I visit the site and click on the link to open account I get redirected to another page that says they are so swamped with applications that they are temporarily not accepting them.
