Their online banking has a ACH transfer system which is a nice plus; however, the transfers are limited to $10,000 unless initiated at a 3rd party bank. There’s no limit to how many separate accounts you can link to this savings account.
This savings account is available as an IRA at the same rate and their health savings account is yielding 3.5% APY.
Their checking account comes with a 1.75% APY when you receive e-statements and receive at least one electronic deposit per month. The account has no minimum balance requirements and no service charges. The first box of checks are also free so this is a pretty darn good checking account.
For CDs Alliant is offering these rates for balances over $25,000:
2.15% APY on balances of 1 year to 23 months
2.30% APY on balances of 2 years to 35 months
2.75% APY on balances of 3 years to 47 months
3% APY on balances of 4 to 5 years
For a $1,000 minimum deposit the rates are 0.15% lower. You can also get these rates available as IRAs.
Membership to Alliant Credit Union is open to any local and national PTA members. Anyone can join the national PTA for a $25 fee. There may be a hard credit inquiry for an application to Alliant so be aware of that.
