Truliant Federal Credit Union is offering a 3% APY 20 month CD and a 2.75% APY 11 month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $1,000 and must be new money. IRA accounts are available at these rates as well.
Truliant is also offering a 2 year CD with rates ranging from 2.6% to 2.9% APY based on your initial deposit. You can add funds to this account at any time and you can get a one time bump in rate of up to 1% should their rates increase. That’s a pretty good deal.
Membership to Truliant is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in one of 24 counties in North Carolina, in parts of Greenville County, South Carolina, and in a few counties in Virginia. There’s also a number of companies that can qualify for membership into Truliant. You need to have at least $5 in their regular savings account for membership.
