National City and PNC Bank are both offering $75 checking account bonuses. In case you haven’t heard National City is now part of PNC bank however the promotions for each bank differ slightly. At PNC Bank you must open a checking account by March 28th, 2009 and you get $1 for every debit card purchase, using a signature not a PIN number, up to $25 until the end of May 2009. To qualify you may not already have a PNC Bank or National City checking account already.
Their free checking account qualifies for this promotion which only requires a $25 initial deposit, however if you plan on making 75 debit card purchases you might want to put a bit more in than $25.
