Key Bank is now offering a free Garmin nuvi 205W GPS or a Garmin nuvi 265WT GPS when you open a checking account. To get the 205W GPS you must open a qualifying checking account by April 24th, 2009 and make one debit card purchase and two direct deposits or automated payments for $100 or more each by June 26th 2009. Their Express Free Checking Account qualifies for this promotion.
The 265WT model GPS requires opening the Key Privilege, Key Privilege Select, or one of the other business checking accounts. The other requirements are the same. These accounts require large balances in order to avoid their monthly service fees.
You receive your GPS system within 90 days of meeting the requirements. The offer isn’g availble to anyone that’s opened a Key Bank checking account within the last year. If you close your account within 180 days of opening it there’s a $25 early closure fee. You must live in one of the following states to participate: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington.
Their Key Express Free Checking appears to be the easiest account to receive the GPS system. It only has a $50 minimum to open an account and has no monthly fees or minimum balance. There’s also no hard credit pull on these accounts, which is a nice plus. Key Bank is a FDIC insured bank.
are you going to extend the gps offer any longer ??
Dennis, you’ll have to contact key bank on this one, but i wouldn’t hold your breath 🙂
