Chase Bank Checking Account Free $100 Promotion

This promotion has expired. Chase Bank is offering the same deal that WaMu was offering, a free $100 bonus when you open a new online checking account with at least $100 and either sign up for direct deposit or make 5 debit card purchases. This one is a little different from the WaMu one was though. You need to enter in your email address from the link in this post and print out the coupon it provides then bring it in to a Chase branch. edit: A reader pointed out that you don’t need a branch visit, there’s a button underneath the email to apply for the bonus online. Thanks to the reader that pointed this out. edit #2: Another reader pointed out you must have the account open for 6 months or the bonus will be taken back, thanks for pointing this out.

chase100One thing to note is that Chase’s checking account requires either direct deposit or 5 debit card purchases a month, every month, to avoid a monthly service fee.

Once you receive your first direct deposit or your 5th pin-based debit card purchase, you’ll receive your $100 bonus within 10 days. This promotion is not available in California and is good until June 23rd, 2009.

  79. Jeff, you don’t know what you’re talking about, I got this coupon in the mail and gave it to my son because he needed the extra $100.00 more then I did and it does work, and no they did not start phishing his account. I am looking for a coupon for my own account though.

  80. I did this and deposited $50 to start was told i had 60 days to deposit the required 100, which i did about 4 days later. did the 5 atm transactions , four days later my account was credited 100 dollars 🙂

Do not fall in to coupons with case bank they will get you. chase is totaly ripoff. they will send you coupans when you open the account they will not pay you for the coupon and make some reasons which they did it to me. Then I got enrolled in there points program and ordered some BP gift card for those points, its been two months they haven’t sent it to me.

  136. the easiest way to get a coupon for $125 for opening a new account is by going to the post office and asking for a change of address form. the coupon will be inside the packet. but it does require direct deposit

  170. to the earlier comment (mar 28th) about why this is still on line and that it should be deleted?…well it is not expired. Chase sent my home one of these coupons and I opened an account with them this week (valid coupon too). I do hope the $100.00 is for real! My coupon stated that I could open with a minimum deposit in checking and put the rest in to equal 100.00 within so many days from opening account. And 10 days later the account would be credited. Have any of you read that? also have anyone actually RECEIVED the bonus? thanks

  179. The promotion is back and I opened an account to receive this $. I got it today- a whole $100. It took about 14 days but it did come. Also, you get a tracking number when you open the account so you can check the status if it does not come on time. The customer service at Chase has been great and I like their point reward system as well- you can get cash back.

  213. I never seen so many suckers in one place Chase charges for there checking Ill be staying with Wachovia for the time being. Its free. I really dont care about the small I mean small amount of interest paid out by Chase to bother with them. Im willing to bet you will be giving them back that $100 in less than six months in fees. I spent a little bit of time looking at what they had to offer and it just isnt happening LOL looks like a vac on the back pocket. sucking you dry as the good ole US Government will allow them to do. Think they are looking to make some stimulus payments from your account. wonder If they eat at the same restaurants as Bank of America??? They really should change there name to bank of rip off LOL. trust me no intersest paid on my checking is better than the bank fees if for some reason you dont meet all there standards of deposits and withdrawals each month in penalty and fees. Free Checking is the way to go just think if they charge you $25 a month for checking thats $300 a year less your $100 credit LOL still $200 plus what ever they can nickle and dime out with atm fees and anything else they can dream up. Wachovia says free and free it is.
